Where do sharks come from?

Sharkago! Haha.

Speaking of sharks, I haven't told you about my trip to the NC Aquarium yet. We went on Monday at the beach. Us and every school group in the state! But we went after lunch, so the crowd was clearing out. We got to see all kinds of fish, sea turtles, even real live sharks!

Here's one for you... what lies at the bottom of the ocean and shivers? Give up? A nervous wreck! Ha! Speaking of wrecks, the aquarium has a life-size replica of a German submarine that wrecked off the coast of NC during WW2. They have this wreck in a humongus tank inside the aquarium. Can you believe it?!? There are big ol' sharks just swimmin' around in there with all the other fish, but they don't eat them 'cause the divers feed the sharks every day.

We also got to see freshwater fish, jellyfish, sea nettles and a marsh.

Here's a bit of trivia for you... the NC coast is known as the Graveyard of the Atlantic, because so many ships have wrecked there over hundreds of years. Even the pirate Blackbeard lost his ship (and supposedly his treasure!) on the coast. Speaking of pirates, have you guys seen that new pirate movie? I hear it's rated ARRRR!

I'll be here all week folks. Now have a good night, and tip your waitress!
